Ecolog International is seeking an experienced UK-based Bid Manager
Ecolog International is seeking an experienced UK-based Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end development and submission of bids for UK Government, defence and wider public-sector clients.
We require a hands-on Bid Manager who can take ownership of the full bid lifecycle from tender review, planning and solution development through stakeholder coordination, writing, review, production and final submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bids from opportunity assessment and tender receipt through final submission and clarification stages.
- Review ITTs, RFPs, framework requirements, evaluation criteria, contractual documents and client instructions.
- Prepare bid plans, compliance matrices, response structures, schedules and responsibility matrices.
- Coordinate inputs from SMEs and operational, technical, commercial, finance, legal, HR, HSE, quality and supply-chain teams.
- Lead kick-off meetings, progress reviews, solution-development sessions and internal approvals.
- Draft, edit and improve technical, operational and management responses.
- Challenge incomplete or generic inputs and work with contributors to develop clear, evidence-based and persuasive content.
- Ensure compliance with submission requirements, evaluation criteria, page limits and UK public-procurement expectations.
- Maintain alignment between the proposed solution, pricing, mobilisation, staffing, programme, risk and contractual commitments.
- Manage document production, quality assurance, version control and final portal submission.

Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 7 years of relevant bid-management or proposal-management experience.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex UK Government or public-sector bids.
- Familiarity with UK public procurement, framework competitions and quality-based evaluation methodologies.
- Experience working on bids for organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, Crown Commercial Service, central government departments, local authorities or other public bodies is highly desirable.
- Strong bid-management, proposal-writing, editing and stakeholder-coordination capabilities.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical, operational, commercial and contractual information.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a strong understanding of UK business and public-sector writing conventions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Adobe InDesign is preferred.
- APMP certification or equivalent bid-management training is advantageous.
- Candidates must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

Relevant Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
- UK Government and defence contracting
- Facilities management and integrated support services
- Construction, engineering and modular infrastructure
- Base operations and life-support services
- Logistics, procurement and supply chain
- Catering, food supply and warehouse operations
- Maintenance, repair and operational support
- Remote-site and complex operational environments
The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership of a bid, coordinate all contributors, develop and write the response, manage reviews and deliver a compliant, persuasive and submission-ready proposal.
