One of the UK's leading specialist providers of contract cleaning services to the education sector, delivering high-quality services to Multi Academy Trusts, schools and colleges throughout the North of England, are seeking a Bid Manager / Proposal Manager to join their team in Leeds.
Their continued growth has been built on exceptional service delivery, long-term client relationships, and a commitment to operational excellence. As they continue to expand, you will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities and supporting the company's long-term strategic growth.
As The Bid Manager / Proposal Manager You Will
- Take ownership of the entire tender process.
- Be responsible for planning, coordinating, writing, and submitting high-quality tender responses that consistently achieve the highest possible evaluation scores.
- Manage the complete tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to final submission.
- Review tender documentation and develop bid strategies that maximize scoring opportunities.
- Produce clear, persuasive, and technically accurate tender responses tailored to each client.
- Prepare executive summaries, method statements, presentations, and supporting documentation.
- Support client presentations, clarification meetings, and post-tender interviews.

This is far more than a bid writing role. You will become an integral member of the senior management team, working closely with operational, commercial, and finance colleagues to develop compelling, compliant, and commercially competitive submissions.
We are looking for a Bid Manager / Proposal Manager with the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience managing competitive tender submissions.
- Proven track record of producing successful, high-quality bids.
- Exceptional written communication and editing skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience of commercial cleaning.
- Facilities Management.
- Education sector.
- Excellent communicator.
- Professional and confident.
- Highly organised.
