As a Bid & Proposal Co-ordinator Apprentice, you will join a fast-paced, collaborative team at the heart of our business development strategy. You will gain first-hand experience of how a global law firm wins work, build valuable professional skills, and contribute directly to the firm's continued success.
Bids and proposals is a recognised and rapidly growing profession, offering excellent long-term career prospects. Through a combination of practical experience, dedicated training and professional qualifications, this apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation for a rewarding career in bids, business development and marketing.
What Will You Learn?
You’ll undertake a Level 3 Bid & Proposal Co-ordinator qualification, equivalent to A-Level standard, with training provided by RHG Consult and one day per week dedicated to study.
The programme typically takes up to 2 years to complete and is supported by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), the leading global professional body for bid and proposal professionals.
Through this programme, you will develop:
- Proposal and bid management techniques.
- Business development and marketing fundamentals.
- Professional writing and communication skills.
- Project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
- Commercial awareness and client-focused thinking.
- Organisation and time management skills.

What Will You Be Doing?
Working alongside experienced Pitch Managers and Senior Managers, you will help coordinate and support a wide range of business-winning activities, including:
- Managing the Pitch team inbox and allocating opportunities to the wider Pitch team.
- Monitoring tender and procurement portals for new opportunities.
- Ensuring opportunities are directed to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Liaising with Client Partners and internal teams to communicate new business opportunities.
- Managing correspondence and responding to routine tender and proposal queries.
- Supporting the preparation and coordination of pitch documents and tender submissions.
- Assisting with pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and standard information requests.
- Helping maintain and develop the Pitch team's content and knowledge library.
- Organising meetings and coordinating project activities.
- Working with colleagues across the firm to gather information and contribute to winning proposals.
- Providing administrative and operational support to the wider Pitch team.
What You Need to Succeed?
We're looking for motivated individuals who are keen to learn and develop their career within a professional services environment. You will ideally have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 3 A-Levels.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive and adaptable working style.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
