Do you want to work with the 15th fastest-growing startup in Europe? If so, you’re in the right place.
AssetCool is one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups, building the fastest path to more power on the grid.
We’re tackling one of the most urgent challenges in the global energy transition: grid congestion. Electricity demand is rising fast; driven by electrification, AI and data centres. While traditional grid upgrades take years, demand exists today. The grid isn’t ready.
AssetCool delivers robotic grid upgrades that physically increase the capacity of existing transmission lines by up to 30%, without rebuilding infrastructure. Using advanced robotics and proprietary photonic coatings, we unlock data-centre-scale capacity in weeks to months, not years and at a fraction of the cost and disruption of conventional approaches.
Our technology goes beyond capacity. We reduce losses, prevent corrosion, cut corona noise and generate high-value operational data that supports smarter grid operation and maintenance. Our systems are already deployed globally, and we just raised a big funding round from leading energy and climate investors.
AssetCool is one of the most innovation-driven companies in the UK energy sector and we’re scaling fast! If you’re ambitious, mission-driven and excited to work on real deployments that strengthen the industry that really matters, AssetCool is where you can make it happen.
Role Overview
AssetCool is seeking a commercially astute and highly capable writer to strengthen the operational backbone of our sales function.
Our sales executives currently manage a substantial volume of inbound enquiries, technical FAQs, supplier and vendor registrations, proposal development and sales administration. We are creating this role to take ownership of that work, help AssetCool keep pace with the growing volume of commercial submissions, and allow the wider sales team to spend more time developing customer relationships and closing opportunities.
This is a mid-career role suited to someone with approximately five years of relevant experience. You do not need to be a front-line salesperson, but you must understand how organisations buy, communicate confidently with technical and commercial colleagues, and turn complex information into clear, persuasive proposals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Draft, edit and coordinate high-quality proposals, tenders, expressions of interest and other commercial submissions.
- Develop clear responses to detailed technical and commercial questionnaires.
- Own supplier onboarding, vendor registration and customer prequalification processes.
- Maintain accurate information across sales documentation, customer portals and internal systems.
- Coordinate deadlines, approvals, supporting evidence and stakeholder contributions for submissions.

- Improve proposal templates, submission workflows and sales-administration processes.
- Support grant applications and other strategically relevant funding submissions where required.
- Ensure customer-facing documents are accurate, persuasive, professionally presented and aligned with AssetCool’s positioning.
- Track outstanding actions and help opportunities move efficiently through the commercial process.
Required Skills & Experience
- Approximately five years’ experience in proposals, tenders, bid coordination, sales operations, grant writing or a related commercial role.
- Excellent written English and the ability to produce concise, persuasive and well-structured documents.
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of what customers and procurement teams need from a submission.
- Experience coordinating input from technical specialists and translating detailed material for non-technical readers.
- Excellent attention to detail, document-management skills and deadline discipline.
- Confidence working with CRM systems, document suites, customer portals and structured submission processes.
- The ability to create order in a fast-moving environment without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership from initial enquiry through to final submission.
