Bid Writer for International Architectural Practice in West London

We are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded international architectural practice to recruit a Bid Writer for its London studio. Renowned for delivering exceptional architecture across a diverse range of sectors, our client has built an impressive portfolio spanning the UK, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, with projects ranging from high-end residential and mixed-use developments to cultural, educational, and commercial schemes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and ambitious individual to play a key role in shaping the practice’s external profile and supporting its continued growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, preparing compelling bid submissions, and ensuring the practice presents a consistent and engaging brand across all proposal and presentation materials.

The Role
As Bid Writer, you will lead the preparation of high-quality submissions, proposals, and presentations that showcase the practice’s expertise, design philosophy, and project experience. You will monitor tender opportunities, recommend suitable projects for pursuit, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop winning bid strategies and supporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor tender portals and identify opportunities aligned with the practice’s expertise and strategic goals.
- Review and recommend suitable projects for consideration.
- Prepare high-quality bid submissions, proposals, and tender responses.
- Develop engaging written content, project case studies, and supporting documentation.
- Select and curate project imagery, graphics, and visual content for submissions.
- Prepare client presentations in line with the practice’s branding and graphic standards.
- Work closely with senior leadership on project programmes, fee proposals, and bid strategy.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard bid and proposal documents.
- Ensure consistency across all marketing, proposal, and business development materials.

About You
- Previous experience in a bid writing, marketing, business development, or proposals role within architecture, design, or the built environment.
- Exceptional written communication and editing skills.
- Strong graphic design and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute to a creative studio environment.
