We’re looking for an experienced Bid Specialist to join our Commercial team and play a key role in developing winning bids that showcase the strength, expertise and value Ward Security delivers to its clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, enjoys working collaboratively and has a real eye for detail.

Hybrid – one day in our Central London office
Pay Rate:
Salary depending on experience
Hours:
Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Bid Specialist, you’ll take ownership of bids from initial qualification through to final submission, ensuring every proposal is compelling, accurate, commercially focused and delivered on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple bids and proposals simultaneously, prioritising deadlines and competing requirements.
- Coordinating the bid process from qualification through to submission.
- Producing clear, engaging and persuasive bid content tailored to client requirements.
- Writing, editing and proofreading high-quality proposals, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information and develop strong responses.
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key requirements, opportunities and risks.
- Ensuring all submissions meet client requirements, deadlines and quality standards.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of Ward’s bid processes, templates and best practice.
- Creating professional and engaging presentations and supporting materials.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can combine excellent writing skills with strong organisation and commercial awareness.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience managing bids from qualification through to submission.
- Excellent bid writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce polished, professional documents.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
Desirable experience:
- Experience within the security, facilities management, property management sectors.
- Experience using PowerPoint, Visio and/or InDesign.
- Experience developing presentations, diagrams, graphics or other visual content to support bids.
