Position: Bid Writer
Client: International Architecture & Design Studio
Location: NW London
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 DOE
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Pattern: 5 days in the studio
The Opportunity
We are working with an award-winning, internationally recognised architecture and design practice based in North West London.
The studio has built an exceptional reputation for delivering distinctive, design-led architecture across the UK and internationally, with a diverse portfolio spanning cultural, commercial, hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects.
With a talented team of approximately 25 professionals in London and an established international presence, the practice is continuing to expand and is now looking to appoint a Bid Writer to support its growth and new business activity.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to join a highly creative architectural environment and take responsibility for producing high-quality bids, tenders, pre-qualification questionnaires, expressions of interest and competition submissions.
Working closely with the studio's senior leadership, architects and wider design team, you will help communicate the practice's design credentials, experience and approach through compelling, well-structured written submissions.
The successful candidate will combine excellent writing and editing skills with strong organisation and ideally an understanding of architecture, design or the wider built environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the preparation of bids, tenders, PQQs, EOIs and other submissions.
- Produce clear, persuasive and engaging written content that communicates the studio's experience, capabilities and design approach.
- Review tender documentation and identify key requirements, deadlines and submission criteria.
- Manage the bid process from initial opportunity through to final submission.
- Work closely with senior architects and project teams to gather relevant technical, project and practice information.
- Develop project descriptions, case studies, team biographies and practice credentials.
- Tailor existing content to respond effectively to individual client and project requirements.
- Coordinate input from internal teams and external consultants where required.
- Proofread and edit submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and quality.
- Maintain and develop a library of bid content, project information, CVs, case studies and supporting material.
- Monitor bid deadlines and ensure submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Support the studio in identifying and tracking relevant new business and competition opportunities.
- Assist with presentations, award submissions and other written marketing material where required.
- Ensure all submissions and communications reflect the quality and positioning of the practice.
About You
We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines within a fast-paced creative environment.

You will ideally have:
- Previous bid writing, bid coordination or proposals experience, ideally within architecture, interior design, engineering, construction or the wider built environment.
- Excellent written English with strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- The ability to translate complex architectural and technical information into clear and engaging content.
- Experience managing tender and bid processes from start to finish.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and busy project teams.
- The ability to manage multiple submissions and competing deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative and hands-on approach.
- An interest in architecture and design, with the ability to understand and communicate a strong design narrative.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, with InDesign experience particularly beneficial.
The Studio
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected international design practice at an exciting stage of growth.
You will work closely with senior leadership and talented architectural teams, gaining exposure to a varied portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK and internationally.
The practice offers a collaborative, design-focused studio environment and operates a five-day, office-based working structure from its North West London studio.
