Senior Bid Writer | Southport | Hybrid

EFT Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join its growing work-winning function and play a key role in securing new business across the fire, life safety and security sectors.

This is more than simply a writing role. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of complex submissions, work closely with technical and operational teams, and help shape how the bid function develops as the business continues to grow.

The role will include:

  • Writing and managing high-quality tenders, PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and framework submissions
  • Turning technical information into clear, persuasive, and client-focused responses
  • Managing multiple live bids and deadlines
  • Supporting bid strategy, win themes, and storyboarding
  • Developing case studies, evidence, and a strong bid content library
  • Reviewing feedback and continually improving submission quality
  • Helping introduce best practice, improved processes, and new technology, including AI-assisted tools

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bid/proposal writing or tender management experience
  • Experience within fire & security, FM, compliance, building services, or another technical environment
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement and framework bidding
  • Exceptional written English and attention to detail
  • The confidence to work with technical specialists and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset and an interest in helping build and improve a growing bid function

Location:

  • Southport – hybrid working, typically 2–3 days per week in the office

Salary:

  • £38,000 to £50,000 basic salary dependent on experience, plus performance-based bonus
