Bid Writer
We are looking to bring on board an experienced Bid Writer who can blend creative storytelling with technical accuracy to help us secure vital low carbon transition projects. This role offers hybrid working from our office in Nottingham.

HI Group is a specialist Managed Services Provider for Net Zero programmes. As part of the Sureserve family, we support clients in the Design, Build, Finance, and Operation of Low Carbon Transition Projects. Our services cover the entire lifecycle—from carbon baselining to post-project monitoring and verification—ensuring the highest standards of sector governance in renewable energy solutions and sustainable project development.

The Role
- Manage submissions, PQQs, and tenders
- Develop benefits-based proposals that articulate true customer value.
- Project management of the bid process, agreeing strategy with sector teams, whilst ensuring adequate resources to complete submissions.
- Manage resources throughout the process, ensuring all content is in place, and for the quality of final output subject to approval and including client engagement.
- Create high-quality PQQ and bid documents, writing and editing content and document production.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Bid Improvement Plan.

Required Skills and Experience
- First-class bid writing skills with the ability to blend creative narrative with technical accuracy to produce clear, compliant, and persuasive tender submissions.
- Energy/construction/maintenance/building industry experience is preferable.
- Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Working knowledge of electronic tender platforms.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office programs essential. Adobe Creative Suite experience strongly desirable.
