About the Role
Lead & Accelerate is a fast-growing bid management consultancy helping businesses across the UK win public sector contracts, frameworks and tenders. We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our expanding team.
This is a pivotal role within the business. You will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle from initial brief through to final submission, supporting a portfolio of clients across a range of industries and sectors. Success in this position means delivering high-quality, compelling bid submissions on time, helping our clients win contracts and frameworks that transform their businesses.
You will work directly with clients on a daily basis, acting as their trusted point of contact throughout the bid process. You will be thorough, professional and calm under pressure — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes real pride in the quality of their work and the relationships they build.
If you are someone who is motivated by results, enjoys variety and wants to be rewarded directly for the wins you help deliver, this role offers exactly that.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, structure and submit high-quality bid and tender responses across a range of public sector frameworks, DPS opportunities and individual contracts
- Manage multiple client portals simultaneously, ensuring all documentation is correctly uploaded, deadlines are tracked and submissions are made on time
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact throughout the bid process and beyond
- Prepare tailored bid summaries and opportunity reports for clients, clearly articulating alignment, lot selection, requirements and recommended approach
- Monitor and manage submission deadlines across all active bids, proactively flagging risks and keeping both clients and the internal team informed at every stage
- Conduct thorough reviews of bid documentation, ITTs, COPs and framework requirements to ensure full compliance and understanding before writing begins
- Support clients in gathering the evidence, policies, case studies and supporting documentation required for submission
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lead & Accelerate's bid processes, templates and quality standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
