Bela Recruitment is hiring a Bid Writer / Manager in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

Permanent job in a brilliant business, where all staff understand the importance of helping to win tenders! This is open to experienced Bid Writers / Managers OR someone that might be keen to get into Bid Writing.

You might have a background in Business Development / Marketing, Document Control, Technical Writing or even a graduate from English Literature etc with some form of business experience. Please call me to discuss, this client is open to different people and willing to train someone with a good attitude.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the tender and proposal activity for winning contracts, manage and coordinate all tender submissions, framework applications and commercial proposals from initial opportunity through to final submissions.
  • Work across multiple departments who are fully invested to support you – including sales, procurement, operations, design, sustainability and finance. They will provide you with the right info for each tender.
  • Ensure all submissions are completed to a high standard, on time, and aligned with the business brand and commercial strategy.
  • This business has a very strong record of writing winning bids via tenders and has lots of past case studies to work from.

Manage end-to-end bid and tender process.

  • Review and interpret tender opportunities - Pre-Qualification Questionnaire’s, Invitations to Tender, Qualification Questionnaires, Request for Quotation’s, and framework applications.
  • Coordinate responses and information gathering from internal staff.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and format high-quality tender responses and supporting documents.
  • Maintain and develop the company’s “bid content library”, case studies, and standard responses.
  • Ensure all submissions are compliant with customer requirements and submission deadlines.
  • Upload and manage submissions through procurement and tender portals.
  • Support the preparation of bid presentations and organise supporting documentation.
  • Monitor tender opportunities across relevant sectors and frameworks.
  • Assist with post-tender feedback, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to support strategic growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Ideally experience in bid writing and tender coordination but also open to people willing to learn.
  • Excellent written English skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint or other useful tech.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a growth environment.
