Job Title: Bid Writer - Public Sector & Social Housing
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
About Us
Westone Housing Ltd is a leading property refurbishment, maintenance and adaptation contractor based in Peterborough. Working across the Insurance, Commercial and Public Sector markets, we deliver high-quality repair, refurbishment and maintenance services through our directly employed workforce and approved contractor network.
Our Public Sector Department partners with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Registered Providers to improve homes and communities through the delivery of property adaptations, planned maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and compliance programmes.
Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of tender opportunities, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Bid Writer to join our expanding team.
About The Role
As a Bid Writer, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Westone Housing Ltd by producing high-quality, compelling and compliant tender submissions across our Public Sector, Housing, Commercial and Insurance sectors.

Working closely with operational managers, commercial teams, HR, finance and senior leadership, you will coordinate, write and manage bid submissions that demonstrate our technical expertise, social value commitments, customer-focused approach and proven delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Lead the preparation and submission of SQs, PQQs, ITTs and framework applications.
- Write high-quality, persuasive and tailored tender responses.
- Manage multiple bid opportunities and submission deadlines simultaneously.
- Coordinate contributions from operational, commercial and support teams.
- Maintain and improve the company bid library and case studies.
- Support framework registrations and procurement portal management.

Qualifications And Experience
- Research clients, competitors and market opportunities.
About you:
- Previous experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer or Bid Coordinator.
- Experience producing successful tenders within construction, property services, social housing, facilities management or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes.
- Excellent Written Communication And Proofreading Skills.
