We are looking for a Bid Writer to join our Proposals team, based out of our Milton Keynes office. This role plays an important part in our work-winning activity, supporting the development of clear, compelling and client-focused bids across our Construction business.
You'll work closely with bid, pre-construction and delivery colleagues, contributing to submissions that showcase Wates' strengths, experience and values.
What You'll Be Doing
- Writing engaging, well-structured and client-focused bid responses
- Reviewing tender questions and translating requirements into clear written content
- Working with subject matter experts to gather information and develop responses
- Editing and reviewing content to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency
- Supporting bid reviews, final submissions and post-bid feedback
- Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For
- Experience in a bid writing, proposals or similar role
- Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
- A collaborative, proactive approach
- Experience in construction or the built environment is beneficial, but not essential
