Contract Data/BI Analyst-Outside IR35-2/3 days on site in Manchester

We're looking for an experienced Data/BI Analyst to join a growing data team on a contract basis, helping turn complex data into clear, actionable insight.

Working closely with data engineering and development teams, you'll play a key role in improving reporting, supporting data-driven decision making and developing high-quality analytical solutions across the organisation.

The role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver clear, meaningful insights.
  • Analysing complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunities.
  • Working directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
  • Building and maintaining data models, DAX measures and visualisations using Power BI best practice.
  • Ensuring data accuracy through validation, cleansing, reconciliation and strong data-quality controls.
  • Automating recurring reporting and continuously improving existing dashboards and analytical solutions.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What we're looking for

You'll bring strong hands-on experience in:

  • Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard development.
  • SQL for querying, transforming and preparing data.
  • Data analysis and translating complex datasets into clear business insight.
  • Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
  • Data quality, validation and reconciliation.
  • Communicating analytical findings clearly to a range of audiences.

Nice to have

Experience with Databricks, Salesforce reporting, Python, Azure/AWS, ETL technologies or data modelling would be highly beneficial.
