Role Description

The Bidding Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end bid and proposal process for market research projects, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive responses to client briefs. This full-time hybrid role is based in London, with a balance of office-based collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing client requests, developing pricing and feasibility estimates, coordinating input from project managers and researchers, and drafting clear, persuasive proposals. The Bidding Manager will maintain bid documentation, track win/loss outcomes, and help refine bid strategies and templates to improve efficiency and success rates. The role also involves liaising with international partners and suppliers, identifying risks and mitigation plans for complex multi-country studies, and supporting business development with timely information and high-quality bid materials.

  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, including experience with budgeting, pricing, and feasibility assessment for projects.
  • Excellent written communication and proposal-writing skills, with the ability to tailor content to different clients and sectors.
  • Project coordination and time management skills, including managing multiple bids simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Familiarity with market research concepts and methodologies (qualitative and/or quantitative) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, presentation software, online communication platforms).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, market research, or a related field.
  • Attention to detail, a structured approach to documentation, and a commitment to high-quality, non-discriminatory client communication.
  • Comfort working in an international environment; additional language skills are an advantage.
