Bike Mechanic Position
We are looking for an experienced Bike Mechanic to join our team - working within a spacious, well equipped and well stocked workshop facility.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 to 17:30
- No late night opening /shift work or rotation
- Facility closes each day between 1pm and 1.30pm for lunch
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the repair and service of a wide range of bikes, as well as building new bikes for the shop floor
- Experience with disc brakes, suspension forks, and wheel building / repair is preferred, but not essential (training can be given)
- Attention to detail and working methodically is crucial
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team, manage workload, plan bookings, and work autonomously
- Accurate calculation and pricing of work, keeping customers informed of progress and outcome at all times
- Excellent time-keeping is essential

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail would be useful, as you will need to help with shop sales during busy periods
- Willingness to learn and a flexible approach are more important than historical experience
