BikeAbility Wales is an inclusive charity that provides cycling opportunities to people of all ages and abilities to give them the chance to improve their physical health and psychological well-being through cycling.

Trustees

Voluntary role (unpaid)

• 4 Board meetings per year, plus 1 to 2 strategic discussion sessions
• Location: BikeAbility Wales (Dunvant Rugby Club, Swansea, SA2 7RU)

BikeAbility are looking for Trustees to join their Board on a voluntary basis to help with the governance of the charity, including overseeing strategic decision making, management of risk and financial planning.

They are a small, friendly, Swansea based charity helping people who would otherwise be excluded to enjoy the pleasures and health benefits of cycling. They welcome disabled children and adults, older people, people with physical and mental health conditions and neurodiversity, those who face financial barriers to cycle and those who wish to learn to ride.

BikeAbility Are Looking For Trustees Who Are

• Passionate about inclusive cycling and enabling people to take positive steps for their health and wellbeing
• Able to express views and opinions
• Supportive of their work
• Full of ideas and different ways of solving problems
• Willing to devote time and effort to their trustee duties

The Board of Trustees includes individuals with a variety of skills, knowledge and experience. Previous board experience is not necessary as a full induction and training will be provided. BikeAbility welcome enquiries from anyone with a passion for breaking down barriers to cycling, who would like to become a trustee.
