Role Description
This full-time, on-site Bilingual Croatian <> English Event Support – Matchday role is based in the Tyneside Area. The role focuses on providing language and event support during football matchdays and related events. Responsibilities include facilitating clear communication between Croatian- and English-speaking stakeholders, assisting with live translation and interpretation, and supporting operational staff to ensure smooth event delivery. The role also involves responding to attendee and client inquiries, providing customer-oriented assistance, and helping with basic documentation, briefing materials, and post-event feedback. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with event coordinators, security teams, and client representatives to maintain a professional, safe, and welcoming matchday environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Croatian and English language skills, with proven experience in Translation and cross-language Communication.
- Background in English Teaching or Training, or equivalent experience supporting language learning or skills development.
- Customer Service experience, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain a professional demeanor in busy event settings.
- Ability to work effectively on-site during matchdays, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of reliability, attention to detail, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Previous experience in sports, events, or hospitality environments is beneficial.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to commute to the Tyneside Area.
