Role Description
The Billable Works Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Croughton, responsible for managing and delivering billable maintenance and facilities projects for defense estates and housing. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring works are completed on time, within scope, and in line with budget and quality standards. Day-to-day activities include:

The Project Manager collaborates with logistics and operations teams to streamline workflows, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. The role also involves engaging with stakeholders, managing variations and change requests, and supporting continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience as an expeditor with proficiency in expediting materials, services, and approvals to keep projects on track.
- Inspection expertise, with the ability to assess work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to technical standards.
- Logistics management capabilities, including coordinating suppliers, managing inventory, and optimizing site deliveries.
- Proven experience managing construction, maintenance, or facilities projects, ideally within a highly regulated environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with confidence using project management and reporting tools.
- Relevant professional qualification or certification in project management, construction, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to facilities and infrastructure projects.
