Varied Database & Billing Administrator role
We're working with a leading international law firm who are looking to recruit a Database & Billing Administrator to join their busy Finance team in central Leeds.
This is a varied role supporting the firm's UK offices, with responsibility for billing administration, client and matter maintenance, data accuracy and responding to billing queries. You'll work closely with Partners, secretaries and colleagues across Finance, so the role would suit someone who is organised, detail-focused and comfortable working across different tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing time and disbursement write-offs, write-downs and matter budget updates
- Processing bill reversals, bill write-offs and credit notes
- Acting as a key contact for billing queries and assisting with more complex billing requests
- Supporting secretaries with billing queries and general matter maintenance
- Processing daily and monthly audit and data integrity reports
- Liaising with Partners where required
- Processing quarterly inter-entity bills
- Updating client and matter details within Aderant Expert
- Administering file closure requests
- Setting up client matter discounts and maintaining agreed hourly rates
- Assisting with Service Desk requests and wider Finance administration
- Ensuring database information is accurate and maintained in line with SRA Accounts Rules and UK VAT requirements
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc duties when required

What we need from you:
- Previous experience in billing, finance administration or database maintenance
- Knowledge of Aderant Expert would be useful
- Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of VAT
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data accuracy
- Good attention to detail and ability to use your initiative
- Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to interpret instructions and manage a varied workload
- Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting colleagues when required
- GCSEs or equivalent including Maths
- Flexibility around additional hours when required, particularly at month end
