Billing Coordinator: US Law Firm

£35,000 - £40,000
A well-known US law firm based near Liverpool Street is looking for a Billing Coordinator to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their finance career to step into a supportive team, learn the ropes of legal billing and build a long-term career in legal finance. Previous law firm experience is not essential - full training will be provided.
What the Role Involves
- Preparing and issuing client bills accurately and on time
- Reviewing pro forma invoices and making amendments as requested by fee earners
- Working closely with partners, fee earners and their secretaries to keep billing moving
- Uploading invoices to client e-billing portals and tracking their progress
- Monitoring WIP and helping to chase unbilled time
- Responding to billing queries from clients and internal teams
- Supporting month end and year end billing activity
- Keeping billing records and client information up to date

What They Are Looking For
- Some experience in billing, accounts, credit control or a finance administration role - ideally 6 months to 2 years
- Law firm experience is a bonus but not required - transferable experience from any industry is welcome
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
- Confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with people at all levels
- Organised, eager to learn and keen to develop a career in legal finance
