Roles & Responsibilities

- Place phone calls to potential clients from our computerized directory
- Perform script (with necessary adjustments) to ensure consistency of sales program
- Answer potential clients’ questions about home improvement projects or goals
- Generate sales leads
- Set appointments with prospective customers based on our associates’ schedules
- Maintain computer, telephone and other equipment
- Communicate any problems, concerns or questions to supervisory staff
- Refer customer complaints to supervisor for quality control
- Communicate respectfully and politely with potential customers at all times
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 3 years Sales experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics
- Self-motivator / Aggressive / Ambitious
- Extrovert
- Fluent English
- Microsoft Office
- Project Logistics/ Off-shore Logistics experience an advantage
Responsibilities
- Contacting the shipping lines and airlines for rates on a daily basis
- Understanding the cost headings in detail.
- Negotiation of rates and the payment terms with the shipping lines and airlines
- Quoting the rates to the concerned sales on multiple lines.
- Resolving rates related issues in time with the lines
- Checking the invoices raised by the shipping lines and authenticating the same.
- Coordinating with the sales and finance teams to ensure the release of the shipping line dues in time
- Maintaining the inventory levels report at all the major locations
- Updating the self and the team on the new changes evolving in the costings related to the freights & other charges
- Analysing the pricing patterns of the lines for every sector once in a quarter and sharing the learnings to the management.

- Responsible for securing new customers, and maintaining and developing existing accounts.
- Meet and exceed the target set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the department.
- Conduct and report the minimum number of sales leads set by the management and transform a minimum of those into revenue generating business.
- Maintain records of customer details / sales visits in the Orient.
- Identify potential customers and register opportunities in Orient; relentlessly pursue realization of such opportunities leading to revenue for the company.
- Regularly visit existing accounts validating our service levels and develop new revenue streams.
- Negotiate with the accounts as per price guidelines given, looking to maximize profits.
- Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Support Customer Service and work closely with Operations and Documentation on the execution of customer service contracts.
- Promote the services and products of all entities, and coordinate sales efforts with other department sales.
- Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings.
- Follow up with clients for outstanding support by the Finance Controller.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility
- Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
- Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices
- Check the validity of debit accounts

- Managing day-to-day operations of the office / MD’s desk
- Organizing and maintaining files and records
- Coordination with all the Head of Departments to complete the tasks given from the MD’s Desk
- Planning and scheduling meeting and appointments
- Extensive calendar management – Efficiently managed multiple calendars
- Handling Internal Liaison and Projects
- Maintaining Confidentiality and full discretion
- Attend / represent the MD in business reviews / meetings in the absence of the MD
- Should have good PR Skills and can work in team environment
- Monitor, screen, respond to incoming communication
- Follow up on Minutes of Meeting Reports
- Assist the MD in scrutinizing inputs provided by Department Heads
- Coordination & preparation of monthly, quarterly & yearly Business Reports.
- Act as a representative of the MD demonstrating superior judgment with both internal and external clients.
- Organize all details for MDs travel and clients visits including flight and accommodation.
- Ensure flawless communication within the team as well as to the organization.
- A high level of proficiency is required in MS outlook, MS Word, Excel and Power point to perform the varied duties of this position
- Strong record of achievement an entrepreneurial hands on approach
