Billing Manager
Our client, an elite US law firm in Central London, is seeking to hire a Billing Manager to oversee the UK revenue cycle in the form of processing and submission of bills using Elite 3E.

About the Role
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager for Europe, the Billing Manager will be tasked with overseeing day-to-day revenue functions, reviewing departmental performance, and ensuring that targets are communicated and achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Legal Billers providing training and performance oversight.
- Liaise with Partners, Fee Earners, PAs, and clients to resolve billing queries and ensure alignment with client billing guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with UK and EU VAT laws, SRA accounts rules, and international financial controls.
- Develop and implement billing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor Work In Progress (WIP).
- Managing e-billing invoices and ensuring that required client information, such as client matter IDs and purchase order numbers.
- Assisting with the collection of accounts receivable invoices. This includes routinely following up with partners and clients to ensure timely payment and keeping senior management informed.
- Collaborate with finance, compliance, and legal operations teams to support audits and internal reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline billing operations.
- Provide monthly and ad hoc billing reports and analysis to senior management.

- Minimum several years legal billing experience, current team lead / management exposure essential
- Experience with legal practice management Elite 3E is preferred.
- Working with e-billing platforms such as BillBlast preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU legal billing standards, VAT, and SRA Accounts Rules
- Experience leading or contributing to system implementations or upgrades.
