Blair West are supporting LSL Property Services, to find a Billing Operations Manager. LSL is one of the UK's leading providers of residential property services, and this role sits within their newly established Central Finance Hub in Newcastle, leading and continuously improving billing operations across multiple divisions of the business.

The opportunity:

  • Lead billing operations across multiple divisions, planning and monitoring invoice runs to ensure accuracy and timeliness in line with divisional requirements.
  • Own billing rules, approvals, audit trails, and quality checks, reducing error, rework, and risk across the function.
  • Business partner with divisional stakeholders, resolving escalations and keeping service priorities transparent.
  • Produce clear KPI dashboards and month-end commentary, conducting daily reviews of billing to prioritise actions and mitigate risk.
  • Use trends, disputes, and KPI reporting to identify root causes and standardise better processes across the team.
  • Lead and develop a team of six direct reports, setting objectives, allocating work, and coaching performance.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • Proven experience leading an Accounts Receivable or Billing team.
  • Strong track record of handling customer, account, or transaction information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience building and analysing KPI reporting to support the operation of a team.
  • A background in driving process improvement within a transactional finance environment.
  • Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A good working understanding of customer accounts, invoicing, credit notes, refunds, and payment terms.
