We’re looking for a Billing Team Leader to be based in our Abingdon office (OX14 1RL). In this role you will be responsible for leading and developing the billing team to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of customer billing activities.
You will oversee day-to-day billing operations, drive process improvements, ensure service excellence, and support the achievement of organisational revenue and cash collection objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, motivate and develop the billing team to deliver high standards of performance and customer service.
- Oversee the production of customer invoices and billing schedules.
- Manage PO chasing and ensuring all work has the required PO.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and escalated customer queries.
- Monitor billing processes to identify risks, errors, or inefficiencies.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, controls, and customer experience.
- Act as a key escalation point in relation to queries and issues for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Produce and analyse billing performance reports.
What We’re Looking For
At Trinity, we know that how you work with others matters as much as what you know. We’re looking for someone who:
- Previous experience in a billing, finance administration, accounts receivable, or revenue operations environment.
- Experience dealing with customer billing queries and escalations.
- Experience using billing, finance, or ERP systems.
- Experience of working with performance targets and service level agreements.
- Understanding of billing processes and financial controls.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
