The Role
An exciting opportunity for a Client Accountant to join a growing finance team and take ownership of a portfolio of clients. Reporting to the Head of Sales Finance, you will be responsible for managing client finances, ensuring accurate and timely billing, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the business with effective job and WIP management. This is a varied and autonomous role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with multiple teams and taking ownership in a busy commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing across an allocated portfolio, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely and in line with agreed terms.
- Own the full financial lifecycle of jobs from setup through to billing, reconciliation and closure.
- Reconcile production costs and job-related expenses, ensuring costs are correctly recovered from clients.
- Ensure jobs have appropriate client PO cover before work commences.
- Monitor WIP and accrued income, taking action to minimise outstanding balances.
- Track production spend against budgets and highlight potential overspends.
- Work closely with account management, production and commercial teams to resolve financial issues.
- Assist with aged debt and credit control queries.
- Review new jobs within the finance system to ensure they are set up correctly for accurate reporting.
- Support the wider finance team with reporting, meetings, holiday cover and ad hoc projects.

About You
- Ideally 2–3+ years' experience in a similar client finance, commercial finance or agency environment, although this is not essential.
- Strong ownership and attention to detail, with pride in delivering accurate work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across the wider business.
- Able to work independently while being a strong team player.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge and hold stakeholders accountable.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, alongside Outlook and Word.
