Billings Operations Specialist
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £40,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Right to Work: Full right to work in the UK required - no sponsorship available
An established global financial services organisation is looking for a Billings Operations Specialist professional to join its team in Manchester City Centre.
This is not a traditional billing role. You'll be working closely with the commission side of the business, managing the calculation and payment of commissions to Wealth Managers, handling queries and working with large volumes of data to ensure payments are accurate and delivered on time.
This role would suit someone who is highly analytical, exceptionally strong in Excel and confident communicating with senior stakeholders.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the end-to-end commission and billing process, using data and financial information to calculate payments accurately and resolve queries from Wealth Managers and other stakeholders.
You'll work with large datasets, manipulate and analyse information, identify discrepancies and ensure commission payments are processed correctly and within tight deadlines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
