Role description:
We are currently looking for a BIM Coordinator to support our growing Energy Transition team, playing a key role in the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects across the energy sector. Acting as the technical hub within the BIM process, you will be responsible for coordinating, reviewing and managing BIM models and associated digital deliverables, ensuring all outputs meet both company and project standards.
Working closely with engineers, designers and project stakeholders, you will facilitate collaboration across multiple disciplines within a shared BIM environment, supporting the design, development, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of critical energy infrastructure. The role is central to driving BIM best practice, ensuring efficient information exchange, and supporting the successful delivery of innovative projects that contribute to the energy transition and a more sustainable future.
Role accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
- Work effectively with Global Design colleagues and in accordance with agreed project working arrangements
- Ensure the production of project BIM deliverables including models that are accurate, clear and concise, compliant with Arcadis standards, best practice and any other standards dictated by the nature of the project
- Ensure compliance with Arcadis BIM standards and national BIM standards
- Deliver work that meet client and Arcadis requirements
- Provide modelling guidance to other members of the BIM team
- Operate at a level consistent with Eng. Tech status
- Assist with the coaching and development and the development of capabilities of other BIM practitioners
- Coordinate the production of BIM deliverables
- Build an understanding of the coordination of all elements of a project and how it ultimately interfaces with the client
- Support the coordination of interfaces of technical work including models and drawings with other disciplines
- Successfully manage, plan, resource and complete assigned BIM modelling work within agreed budget and deadlines
- Check the models with the objectives and conditions
- Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan
- Check the different aspect models on consistency
- Make proposals for any design adjustments to be made, and discuss and consult with the relevant members of the team
- Monitor the implementation of possible adjustments in aspect models
- Generate graphical or (alfa)numeric output for the benefit of production
- Control, monitor and steer the BIM process with the necessary tools
- Coach and guide involved employees with the implementation and application of BIM
- Liaise with the project team, client and consultants to review all BIM models for the project and make any necessary amendments

Qualifications & Experience:
- Have a qualification in a relevant technical subject including elements of Modelling (HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Have achieved Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognised professional institution
- Have substantial (production) experience in design, drafting or engineering and BIM
- Able to provide input to estimates for the modelling budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on small to medium sized projects
- Have capability to use upwards of 2/3 BIM software programs
- Able to apply their design experience to the models they produce
- Have capability to use ICT tools for viewing and coordinating the BIM
- Have experience in defining BIM outcomes
- Have experience in setting up and coordinating a BIM Protocol and Execution Plan for a given project
