KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam UK & Ireland – BAM UK & Ireland’s Infrastructure segment are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and are seeking a talented and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator who can coordinate, manage and assure project information and model-based deliverables to support safe, efficient and compliant project delivery. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess experience in BIM coordination and information management, a strong understanding of ISO 19650 principles, and proficient in industry-leading BIM and information management platforms. They will also have experience coordinating federated models, supporting multidisciplinary teams and implementing information management processes within a project environment.
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Contract: Permanent, 42.5 hours a week
Making Possible
In this role, you will be working in a live MOD facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of BIM and information management requirements across the project.
- Support compliance with project BIM standards, information management processes and ISO 19650 requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Coordinate, review and maintain project information models, supporting multidisciplinary coordination and information exchange activities.
- Undertake information quality assurance activities to verify that graphical and non-graphical information meets project requirements and the defined level of information need.
- Identify and escalate BIM, information management and coordination risks.
- Provide training, guidance and technical support in BIM, digital construction and information management practices to project teams and supply chain partners.
- Support supply-chain BIM onboarding and induction activities.
- Assist and train BIM/CAD Technicians whenever required.
- Manage and coordinate the work produced by BIM/CAD Technicians, ensuring outputs meet project requirements and agreed standards.
- Understand the hardware and software requirements of the project and communicate needs and constraints to the BIM Manager.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote effective digital delivery practices.
- Maintain high safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any inadequacies.

What do you bring to the role?
Essential:
- CSCS Card – White/Yellow
- Experience in digital construction and information management, including BIM coordination.
- Experience in model federation, model coordination and multidisciplinary BIM delivery.
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles, including the interpretation and practical application of key information management documents such as Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and Project Information Standards (PIS).
- Experience supporting information quality assurance, compliance reviews and information delivery processes.
- Proficient in the Autodesk suite, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in swept path analysis and vehicle tracking simulation is beneficial but not essential.
- Prior experience of Solibri is beneficial but not essential.
- Good understanding of civil and structural design principles.
- Degree in a related discipline (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, etc.) is preferred.
- Able to collaborate and work effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Technician member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (TIStructE)
