About the opportunity
You will sit at the centre of the Design function, producing and coordinating detailed mechanical and electrical models for large-scale construction projects. This is a role for someone who enjoys the technical detail: building bespoke Revit families, leading clash detection across disciplines, and modelling prefabricated assemblies for offsite manufacture. You will work directly with engineers, project managers, site teams, and external contractors to make sure what is modelled is actually buildable.
What you will be doing
- Produce and coordinate detailed MEP models and drawings to support project delivery
- Generate Revit models from engineer inputs, design data, and technical sketches
- Create bespoke Revit families where manufacturer components are unavailable
- Develop models for prefabricated assemblies and modular systems used in offsite manufacturing
- Lead clash detection and resolution across multiple disciplines
- Maintain and manage project models on BIM 360 / ACC and keep related reports current
- Integrate point cloud survey data into 3D models
- Attend design and coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Work to project-specific BIM standards and procedures

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
