BIM Lead

Role description:
We are seeking a highly experienced individual to support the implementation of major multidiscipline projects across the UK, from inception and client relations through to completion and commissioning.
We are seeking a Senior Technical lead to join our team as part of UK and Ireland Design Advisory team, with a pure focus on overseeing the delivery of strategic projects in the UK.
This challenge will give you the opportunity to focus on a range of significant multi year projects of different sizes, complexities and scales. You will have the opportunity to pull together technologies and teams to deliver project successes. In this position, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team that is dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence and excellence in delivery.
Role accountabilities:
- Perform various Building Information Model (BIM) tasks such as producing, reviewing and managing project drawings and documentations as part of the delivery of major works. Leading the Arcadis BIM efforts while integrating with wider Arcadis digital and technology offerings.
- A full understanding of ISO 19650 suite of documents and the associated implementation of an ISO accredited suite of documents.
- Take leadership in understanding BIM objectives, contractual obligations, KPI and defining the approach to maximise our delivery, with a focus on long term benefits.
- Perform model checks ensuring that the data meets Arcadis and client standards.
- Owning, managing the process of information development, and monitoring for compliance. Leading the implementation of active measures including training programme / onboarding across our teams.
- Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and champion fulfilment of the plan throughout the project’s lifecycle, through active training and monitoring.
- Be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of the models at a programmatic level and liaising with other organisations BIM leadership to evolve and drive the approach.
- Act in a leadership capacity to assist the BIM Team for both Design and Production
- Keep an eye on coordination and troubleshooting, and act as a subject matter expert on BIM related issues while maintaining best practices
- Maintain constant communication with the Global and Regional Design Advisory Lead to ensure bi-direction communication between staff and the region.
- The ability to engage with staff at all levels all the way up to management level, with the awareness to present information in a format and style suitable and appropriate to that audience.
- Act as the leader across a team of project specific BIM teams / disciplines.
- Liaising with software vendors and technology partners, to stay connected to industry trends and roadmaps, to provide thought leadership on future directions and client offerings.
- Work with our Global Excellence Centres and other regions to strive to deliver skills based approaches to resource and support complex needs of our clients.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferred minimum 5 years of experience in BIM technology support role in the Architecture and Engineering field including production and coordination
- Clear demonstration and understanding of implementing and delivering the Information Management role and leading a team in delivering to success
- Experience on complex, multi discipline, multi year project.
- Recognised architectural technology architectural or engineering qualification(s)
- Exemplary Autodesk Revit ability and experience of complex ISO 19650 projects essential
- A working understanding and knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Evidence of good quality Autodesk Revit output, technical knowledge of building detailing and construction
- Familiarity with BIM Authoring tools and industry trends
- Familiarity with interoperability between Autodesk Revit and other disciplines-specific software programs.
- Experience in 3D design and multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data exchange
- Good communication skills for team-based working environment and for teaching others about best practices in BIM
- Excellent team leadership to lead a BIM team for design and production
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for fast-paced projects of both them and of a team
