BIM Lead – MEP

Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £75,000 + package
Employment Type: Permanent

A leading Tier One MEP Contractor is currently seeking an experienced BIM Lead to join their growing digital engineering team in Central London.

The successful candidate will have a strong MEP construction background and will play a key role in managing and delivering BIM and digital engineering solutions across major projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM professional to take on a senior position within an established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex MEP schemes.

The Role

The BIM Lead will be responsible for overseeing BIM delivery across projects, ensuring models, processes and information are coordinated effectively from design through to construction.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading BIM and digital engineering activities across MEP projects.
  • Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.
  • Working closely with design teams, engineers, project managers and site teams.
  • Overseeing clash detection, model coordination and information management.
  • Ensuring BIM processes and standards are implemented consistently across projects.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
  • Reviewing models and ensuring they meet project requirements and relevant standards.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to BIM and design teams.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify and resolve coordination issues.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital workflows.
  • Ensuring project information is delivered accurately and in line with agreed standards.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in MEP BIM within a contractor environment, with experience working on large-scale and technically complex projects.

The successful BIM Lead is likely to have:

  • Strong experience working within MEP construction.
  • Previous experience in a BIM Lead, BIM Manager, Digital Engineering or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit, Navisworks and BIM coordination.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary models and clash detection.
  • Good understanding of BIM standards, processes and information management.
  • Experience working closely with MEP engineers, subcontractors and construction teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead BIM delivery while remaining technically hands-on.
  • Experience working on major commercial, data centre, healthcare, life sciences or similar projects would be advantageous.
