Hyperscale Data Centre

London – approximately 20 minutes from the City

TClarke are currently looking to appoint an experienced BIM Manager to lead BIM and digital coordination on a major hyperscale data centre project in London, located approximately 20 minutes from the City.

The project is currently in preconstruction, running through to December 2026, before moving into full construction and delivery. With completion expected in approximately three years, this is a long-term opportunity to take ownership of BIM from early-stage design and coordination through construction, commissioning and final handover.

This is a key position within the project team, responsible for managing the BIM strategy, processes and coordination across the MEP scope while working closely with the Project Director, engineering and design teams, client, consultants, subcontractors and wider supply chain.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM Manager to take ownership of BIM delivery on a large-scale, technically complex hyperscale data centre.

You will join during preconstruction and play a key role in establishing and managing the project's BIM requirements, standards and coordination processes before supporting the project through construction and final handover.

The position will involve leading the BIM team, coordinating complex MEP services, managing federated models and ensuring accurate digital information is produced and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

With preconstruction continuing until December 2026 and approximately three years of construction and delivery thereafter, the role offers genuine long-term project visibility and the opportunity to work on one of London's major hyperscale developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for BIM management and digital coordination across the project.
• Lead and manage the project BIM team throughout preconstruction and construction.
• Develop, implement and maintain the project BIM strategy and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Manage BIM standards, workflows, protocols and project information requirements.
• Coordinate complex mechanical and electrical services within the federated project model.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Manage clash detection processes, identify coordination issues and drive these through to resolution.
• Ensure models are produced, reviewed and maintained in accordance with project requirements and agreed standards.
• Oversee model federation and coordination between MEP, architectural, structural and CSA disciplines.
• Work closely with engineering, design, construction and commissioning teams to ensure models accurately reflect project requirements.
• Manage BIM deliverables across the project programme and monitor progress against key information milestones.
• Coordinate BIM outputs from specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Ensure accurate model information is available to support procurement, installation, prefabrication and construction activities.
• Manage model reviews, approvals and information exchanges through the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Support the production and management of coordinated drawings, builders' work information and installation information.
• Ensure compliance with relevant BIM standards, including ISO 19650 requirements.
• Support the development and delivery of accurate as-built models and digital handover information.
• Identify BIM and coordination risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular reporting to project leadership on BIM progress, coordination issues and key deliverables.
