Binder Technician – Portfolio Solutions

A leading global reinsurance broker is expanding its specialist Portfolio Solutions team and is seeking an experienced Binder Technician to join its Client Services function.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing team supporting the delivery and servicing of Binder and Delegated Authority business across a range of classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process new and existing Binding Authorities.
  • Prepare FDO (For Declaration Only) presentations.
  • Process premium and claims bordereaux across bureau and non-bureau business.
  • Handle Binding Authority claims and resolve technical queries.
  • Manage premium and claims accounting, ensuring timely settlement.
  • Liaise with clients, brokers and underwriters on technical matters.
  • Investigate and resolve Velonetic queries.
  • Provide technical support across a range of lines of business.
  • Complete debroke and risk sign-down activities.
  • Prepare and maintain account statistics.
  • Support the ongoing servicing and retention of client accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and reinsurers.
  • Attend client and reinsurer meetings where required.
  • Work independently while effectively managing priorities and supporting wider team objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience within Binding Authorities / Delegated Authority / Reinsurance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Lloyd’s and/or Company Reinsurance market.
  • Experience with premium and claims processing and bordereaux.
  • Good understanding of Velonetic and the ability to investigate and resolve queries.
  • Strong communication, organisational and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
