Binding Authority Account Manager (FTC)

This role is primarily office based but with the flexibility to work from home 1 or 2 days a week if required.

What the day will look like

As a Binding Authority Account Manager, you will handle nominated DUA contracts daily. You will follow line manager instructions and work closely with our business producers to ensure excellent service for our Coverholders and Underwriters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate preparation of DUA documentation (e.g. binding authority slips, endorsements and related documents).
  • Collating, validating, and balancing risk, premium, and claims bordereaux from Coverholders. This includes checking data quality for completeness, accuracy, formats, and coding. Queries with counterparties are resolved, and issues are raised when necessary.
  • Liaising with our supporting Policy and Claims Advocate Team to ensure all premiums, claims, commissions, and profit commissions (PCs) are paid on time. Coordinating and chasing payments where appropriate.
  • Assisting in integrating new clients and new Underwriter entities, ensuring appropriate due diligence and ongoing compliance requirements are met.
  • Assisting Clients and Underwriters, in conjunction with the team of business producers, on interpretation of clauses, available coverage types and ongoing service issues.
  • Collecting and analysing relevant information and assisting in the preparation of market submissions and presentations for new business and renewals, including preparing/updating statistics, performing basic data pivoting and generating up-to-date reports.
  • Using Lloyd’s systems including DCOM, Atlas, Crystal, and PPL, along with Aon in-house systems (training will be provided on Aon systems).
  • Following the Risk Management Framework established by Aon UK Limited and aligned with its policies, you will engage actively in risk management. This includes completing required training to protect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.

How this opportunity is different

This position combines technical binding authority administration with a focus on data quality, detailed review and regulatory compliance across multiple Lloyd’s and Aon systems. It is also collaborative and market-facing, working closely with business producers, Clients, Coverholders and Underwriters to support both day-to-day servicing and the growth and onboarding of new business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Experience in delegated authority or London Market insurance, with a solid understanding of binding authority contracts and Lloyd’s processes.
  • Consistent track record to handle and reconcile bordereaux (risk, premium and claims), with high attention to detail, data quality and MI/reporting.
  • Confident user of Excel (including basic pivoting and data analysis) and comfortable learning/using market platforms such as DCOM, Atlas, Crystal, and PPL.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with Clients, Coverholders, Underwriters and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated dedication to compliance, due diligence and working within risk management and governance frameworks.
