Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established business who own and operate their own anaerobic digestion plants, which provide both gas and electricity to the grid. Together we are recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for their site in Worcestershire.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Maintenance Supervisor Role
Reporting To The Operations Manager You Will
- Coordinate breakdown responses, ensuring the quickest possible resolution.
- Manage contractors, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Perform planned maintenance tasks, record corrective actions on the Shire system, and manage spare parts ordering and follow-up.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies.
- Oversee equipment repairs, refurbishments, and new installations/fabrication work.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Support ongoing project work and assist the operations team as needed.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all staff and contractors.
- Act as a mentor and role model for new team members.
- Act as a management representative in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Other duties as required.

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- Experience operating HMI/SCADA systems.
- Full UK driving Licence.
Personal Skills
The Maintenance Supervisor Role Would Suit Someone Who Is
- Supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on an anaerobic digestion plant or similar heavy processing environment.
- Over 5 years experience working in a hands-on engineering position.
- Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environments.
- Experience of managing budgets.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
