Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading producer of biogas to recruit a Site Operator for their renewable energy plant in Doncaster.
The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £35,000 + shift allowance and excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role
Reporting To The Plant Manager You Will
- Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
- Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
- Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
- Working on a shift rotation
- Monitoring the plant via the SCADA
- Keeping the site clean and tidy
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety
- Other duties as required

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training
- Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
- Full UK Driving Licence
Personal skills
The Biogas Site Operator role would suit someone who is:
- Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
- Mobile plant experience
- First line maintenance experience
- Agricultural experience is highly desired
- Great work ethic
