Company Description

MultiOmics Intelligence is a London-based AI, bioinformatics and molecular medicine company focused on transforming complex biological data into meaningful health intelligence.

Our team integrates multi-omics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced bioinformatics to support research, biomarker discovery, disease understanding, precision medicine and personalised health innovation.

Working across genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, clinical data and AI-driven interpretation, we aim to generate deeper insights into disease mechanisms, patient stratification and therapeutic response.

MultiOmics Intelligence works with research, healthcare, pharmaceutical and educational partners through advanced data analysis, scientific consultancy, digital health solutions and specialist training. Our mission is to make molecular data more interpretable, actionable and connected—bridging the gap between biological complexity and real-world health impact.

Role Description

We are inviting applications for 10 positions within our Bioinformatics & AI Research Internship – Healthcare Innovation.

This is a remote, unpaid, six-month internship starting in January 2027. It is structured as a supervised educational and skills-development opportunity for final-year students and recent graduates.

Interns will receive guidance while developing practical experience in:

  • Analysing publicly available or simulated multi-omics datasets.
  • Using Python, R and scientific-computing libraries.
  • Exploring genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic data.
  • Applying statistical, machine-learning and AI methods to biological questions.
  • Building reproducible bioinformatics workflows and portfolio projects.
  • Creating scientific figures, analytical summaries and technical documentation.
  • Reviewing scientific literature and evaluating computational methods.
  • Using Git, GitHub and version-control practices.
  • Using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and related AI tools responsibly for coding, research and documentation.
  • Presenting findings and receiving structured scientific and technical feedback.

The internship is designed primarily for learning, mentorship and portfolio development. Projects will use public or simulated data and will not replace the work of paid employees.

Qualifications

  • Currently completing the final year of, or recently graduated from, a degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, data science, computer science, artificial intelligence or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of bioinformatics, molecular biology, genetics or computational biology.
  • Basic programming experience in Python, R or another relevant language.
  • Interest in multi-omics, machine learning, AI and healthcare innovation.
  • Ability to search, critically review and summarise scientific literature.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time and learn independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, scientific-computing libraries or biological datasets is advantageous.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

  1. A general interview covering the applicant’s background, interests and learning objectives.
  2. A practical assessment for shortlisted applicants.
