Role Description
The Bioinformatics Analyst / Epigenetics Data Specialist is an independent, project-based contractor role (100% Remote / Worldwide). Working under the direction of Evorentia’s Senior Scientific Leads, the specialist will execute end-to-end data processing, statistical modeling, and computational analysis for DNA methylation and biological clock client projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- DNA Methylation Data Pipelines: Process, normalize, and quality-control raw DNA methylation array and sequencing data (e.g., Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation450 / EPIC / Mouse Methylation arrays).
- Epigenetic Clock & Biomarker Modeling: Implement, evaluate, and build predictive statistical and machine learning models (e.g., Horvath/Hannum clocks, GrimAge, or custom epigenetic age predictors).
- Differential Methylation Analysis: Identify differentially methylated positions (DMPs) and regions (DMRs) using specialized packages (e.g.,
minfi,ChAMP,limma). - Statistical Modeling & Scripting: Write reproducible code in R/Python for multivariable regression, propensity score matching, and longitudinal analysis of epigenetic biomarker datasets.
- Deliverables & Reporting: Generate clean, publication-ready data visualizations (volcano plots, heatmaps, calibration curves) and technical summary packages for senior scientific review.
