Job Opportunity at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to work in Specimen Reception at our University Hospital Coventry site and our George Eliot site in Nuneaton.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Patient-focused approach
- Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Intermediate IT skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage your own workload
- Previous experience of data entry or working in a diagnostic pathology environment would be advantageous
Duties:
- Receipt, sorting, and processing of samples
- Aiding laboratory staff in some aspects of technical work
- Entry of patient data onto the pathology computer system
- Booking in specimens onto the laboratory computer system
- Being the first point of contact for telephone enquiries

Additional Information:
- Shifts will cover 24/7 patterns, flexibility to cover various shifts is required
- Interviews will take place on 22nd September 2026
- Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report
- This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship
