Job Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside.
Role Details
Applications are invited from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a busy diagnostic department undertaking 400,000 investigations per annum in the Microbiology Laboratory at Ninewells Hospital.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- An HCPC approved degree in Biomedical Science which is acceptable to the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)
- Successfully completed an IBMS registration portfolio
- The ability to work as part of a team
This post is within the 7-Day team in Virology who work 3 days on-off shifts, including weekends & public holidays. The shift timings are 08:00am to 19:15pm.

Department Information
The Department is approved by the Institute of Biomedical Science and NHS Education Scotland as a training laboratory. The department has UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 standards.
