About the Role
We are seeking a Biomedical Scientist to join the microbiology team based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

- Ability to lead and support individual and team working
Qualifications and Banding
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists that hold the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology or demonstrate equivalent experience will be appointed at Band 6.
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists that do not hold the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology will be appointed at Band 5.
- Public Health Wales provides the opportunity for automatic progression to Band 6 on successful completion of the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology.
Interview Process
INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE FACE TO FACE.

Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to a robust and fully operational system within the department
- Assist in building a strong team
- Support Senior Biomedical Scientists to enable continual improvements in the department and throughout the Microbiology Network
- An understanding of good laboratory practice and ISO15189 quality management is desirable
Working Conditions
- Support the provision of a 24/7 service in accordance with a published rota
Additional Information
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
