Pelvic Floor Specialist Physiotherapist
The Central Lancashire Community Bladder and Bowel Service is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pelvic floor Specialist Physiotherapist to join our service.
The Bladder & Bowel service is a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists and Health Care assistant and is led by a specialist physiotherapist. The service has a supportive and warm culture where everyone’s contribution is valued.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while helping to shape the future development of bladder and bowel services across Central Lancashire.
About the Role
As a Pelvic Floor Specialist Physiotherapist, you will manage a clinical caseload, undertaking holistic assessments, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients experiencing bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Provide a high standard of specialist physiotherapy input to the designated therapy team. Hours may be required to be worked over 7 days between 08.00am and 08.00pm, depending on service need.

- To assess and treat patients within a ward or community setting as an autonomous practitioner
- Physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
- Hold responsibility for own complex caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
- The postholder will ensure their own personal development and participate in the development of others.
- To supervise, educate and assess the performance of physiotherapy students to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the degree standard.
