About us

Edwards Blinds and Interiors Ltd is an Aberdeen-based, family-run business supplying and installing made-to-measure blinds, curtains and shutters for residential and commercial customers. We take pride in reliable service, quality products and professional installations.

About the role

We are looking for a practical, reliable installer to join our team. You will work at customers’ homes and commercial premises across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, completing installations with care and attention to detail. The role will be spread across 4 working days between Monday - Friday.

  • Installing blinds, shutters and associated fittings safely and accurately.
  • Measuring windows and checking fitting requirements where required.
  • Reviewing work orders and preparing the products and equipment needed for each job.
  • Loading and unloading the company van.
  • Completing minor adjustments, repairs and maintenance.
  • Showing customers how to operate and care for their products.
  • Keeping work areas tidy and recording completed work accurately.

What we’re looking for

  • Confidence using hand and power tools.
  • Accurate measuring skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • A friendly, professional manner when working in customers’ homes.
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to handle products and equipment safely and work safely from steps or ladders.
  • Previous experience fitting blinds, shutters or curtains would be an advantage. Relevant joinery, maintenance or installation experience is also welcome.

Driving requirements

A company van will be provided. Applicants must hold a full, valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points and must be over 30 to meet our current vehicle insurance requirements.
