Role Description

The Blinds Sales & Installer role is a contract, remote position focused on helping customers select, purchase, and install blinds that meet their needs. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries
  • Conducting virtual or on-site consultations
  • Measuring windows accurately
  • Recommending suitable products based on style, function, and budget

The role involves:

  • Preparing quotations
  • Processing orders
  • Coordinating installation schedules to ensure timely and professional service

Installation duties include:

  • Safely fitting blinds
  • Testing functionality
  • Providing basic product care guidance to customers

The Blinds Sales & Installer also supports after-sales service, including minor adjustments and coordinating repair or replacement when needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, consultation, and clear communication with a focus on understanding client requirements.
  • Experience with measuring, fitting, and installing blinds, curtain tracks, or similar home improvement products, including safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to manage sales activities such as preparing quotations, handling orders, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple appointments and installations independently.
  • Comfort working in a remote, contract capacity with reliable transportation for on-site visits where required.
  • Basic digital literacy for using scheduling tools, communication platforms, and product catalogues.
  • Prior experience in home furnishings, interior design, or property maintenance is beneficial.
  • Capability to lift and handle blinds and fixtures safely; adherence to health and safety standards.
