Block Manager – Fantastic Career Opportunity in Harrow

About the Role
This is a hands-on, career-building position offering the perfect blend of day-to-day block management, client relationship management, and strategic business development. You’ll be responsible for a diverse portfolio of residential blocks and commercial units—many let to local authorities or via long-term brokers—while being fully supported to expand and strengthen our block management operations.
You’ll work directly with the C-suite, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making and real opportunities for long-term growth and progression.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed portfolio of residential blocks and commercial units
- Act as the main liaison between landlords, leaseholders, tenants, brokers, and contractors
- Oversee long-term rental agreements with local councils and housing providers
- Organise maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, compliance checks, and major works
- Prepare and manage service charge budgets
- Conduct regular site inspections to uphold property standards
- Handle Section 20 notices and leasehold matters
- Identify and win new block management opportunities
- Support with onboarding new instructions and clients
- Manage insurance, budgets, and cost efficiencies
- Provide property performance insights to senior management
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in block management (residential essential; commercial advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of leasehold law, service charges, and compliance
- Experience liaising with local councils and housing brokers
- Confident managing maintenance and contractors
- IRPM qualification (or studying toward it) desirable
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Commercially minded, proactive, and growth-oriented
- Able to work independently and manage your own portfolio effectively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Ambitious, motivated, and seeking a long-term career path with real progression
