Blockchain Engineer / Developer - Payments
About the Role
Wholesale tokenisation and cross-border payments infrastructure are moving from pilot to real-value production across major financial institutions. We're building a pipeline of Blockchain/DLT engineers who can bridge two worlds that rarely overlap: distributed ledger technology and correspondent banking / settlement mechanics.
This is a live search connected to institutional tokenisation initiatives currently in production testing. If you have both the technical depth and the domain fluency, we want to hear from you - even if you're not actively looking.
What You'll Work On
- Designing and building smart contract / DLT infrastructure for tokenised settlement, wholesale CBDC, or cross-border payment rails
- Working directly with correspondent banking, compliance, and payments teams to translate settlement and regulatory requirements into technical architecture
- Contributing to production-grade systems moving from prototype/testnet into real-value transaction environments
- Collaborating across technical and business stakeholders - this is not a siloed engineering role; domain fluency in payments/settlement is as important as the code

What We're Looking For
- Strong engineering background in blockchain/DLT (smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, permissioned ledger platforms - e.g. Corda, Hyperledger, Ethereum-based tooling, or equivalent)
- Genuine understanding of correspondent banking, cross-border settlement, or payments infrastructure - not just theoretical interest
- Experience working in or adjacent to regulated financial institutions preferred
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of technical build and compliance/regulatory constraint
- Track record shipping production systems, not just prototypes or hackathon projects
