As a member of our London-based team, you’ll join Bloomberg Intelligence on a 12 months contract to provide coverage across financials. You’ll be responsible for maintaining existing equity research coverage across Nordic and Irish banks, as well as payments companies.
We’ll Trust You To
- Maintain existing equity research coverage across Nordic and Irish banks, as well as two payments companies, for the duration of the contract.
- Produce company research, thematic work and timely event-driven analysis, including earnings previews, reviews and other significant company developments.
- Monitor and interpret company announcements, earnings calls, regulatory developments and broader industry trends affecting the covered companies.
- Use Bloomberg data sets, Bloomberg Intelligence data and research, company filings and other primary sources to support analysis.
- Manage the earnings cycle for covered companies, including maintaining relevant models and updating research following results.
- Collaborate with regional and global Bloomberg Intelligence analysts and other research teams.
- Engage with investor relations teams, company management, investors and other industry contacts to support and maintain the quality of existing coverage.
- Work with Bloomberg Data teams to help ensure the completeness and quality of data used across the covered companies.
- Maintain continuity, quality and timeliness of the existing research franchise throughout the temporary coverage period.

You’ll Need To Have
- At least 3 years experience in Equity Research, specializing in Financials companies in Europe.
- Sell-side or buy-side Research Analysis experience preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of the Financials sector in Europe.
- Experience interpreting financial statements and performing quantitative financial analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting.
- Strong primary research and writing skills.
- Good oral communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.
- Strong organizational skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

We'd Love To See
- CFA designation and/or MBA degree, and/or graduate educational experience.
- Experience using Python and/or visualization tools (i.e Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense).
- Ability to leverage generative AI or machine learning platforms.
- Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal.
