About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Blue Prism Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain robotic process automation (RPA) solutions using Blue Prism. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, process owners, and IT teams to automate manual, repetitive tasks and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement RPA solutions using Blue Prism in line with best practices and coding standards
  • Analyze existing business processes and translate Process Definition Documents (PDDs) into technical Solution Design Documents (SDDs)
  • Build, configure, and maintain Blue Prism objects, processes, and business logic
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation workflows
  • Deploy bots to production environments and monitor their performance
  • Collaborate with process owners and business analysts to gather requirements and identify automation opportunities
  • Support and maintain existing automations, resolving issues and implementing enhancements
  • Ensure automations comply with governance, security, and audit requirements
  • Manage Blue Prism environment components including Control Room, work queues, schedules, and exception handling
  • Document technical designs, test cases, and support materials
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members as needed
  • Stay updated on Blue Prism releases, features, and RPA industry trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience developing automations in Blue Prism
  • Strong understanding of RPA lifecycle: process discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Proficiency in Blue Prism components: Process Studio, Object Studio, Control Room, Work Queues, Credential Manager
  • Experience with exception handling, error recovery, and resilience design in Blue Prism
  • Working knowledge of VBO (Visual Business Objects) and integration with applications via Surface Automation, API, or Application Modeller
  • Familiarity with SQL, databases, and query writing
  • Understanding of programming/scripting concepts (VB.NET, C#, or similar) is a plus
  • Experience integrating Blue Prism with other systems (Excel, Outlook, web applications, ERP/CRM systems)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Blue Prism Developer Certification (Foundation, Professional, or higher)
  • Experience with other RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and API integrations
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration within RPA workflows (e.g., Blue Prism Decipher, IDP tools)
