Could you be our next BMD Administration Assistant within our Building Maintenance team?
In this role you will provide customer-focused, efficient and effective front-line and business support across the Building Maintenance Division. You will support a range of service areas including General Maintenance, Contracts, Gas, Electrical, Voids, Stores and Invoicing, making full use of computerized systems to manage enquiries, appointments, records and financial processes.
You will play a key role in supporting service delivery by coordinating administrative processes, assisting with performance information, and ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times.
What We Are Looking For…
The ideal candidate will have good organisational and customer care skills, attention to detail, and experience working in an office or administrative environment. You will be comfortable working with computerized systems, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with colleagues, customers and service users.
You will be able to work as part of a team, use your initiative, and handle information accurately and confidentially in line with established procedures and statutory requirements.

- Experience of office or administrative work
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to handle financial transactions such as invoices or cash processing
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience of working as part of a team

This is an operational role primarily based within our Inchyra depot. Home working may be supported for up to one day per week where operational and service needs allow. The remainder of the working week will be based at Council locations to support effective collaboration, customer service and service delivery.
Falkirk Council values diversity and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
You will work 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 16:00.
This is a full-time position; however, we welcome and will consider requests for part-time hours in line with service requirements.

In Addition, You Will Have
- Opportunity to develop administrative and customer service experience within a large operational service
- Exposure to a wide range of building maintenance and repairs activities across Housing and Property Services
- Ongoing training and support relevant to the role, including systems, procedures and health and safety requirements
- Experience working with performance information, customer satisfaction feedback and service delivery processes
